Photo Restoration
History has always been one of my favorite subjects.
It would be fun to go back 100 years, for a short time, and live the way our prior generations had to live!
When I do restoration work on century old photos, I prefer to leave the crop as it is on the original photo.
To finish at size 8x10 or 5x7, I often add canvas to the border using a color that is consistent
with the color in the existing border.

The turn of the century photo below is special.
Notice how the baby is the only one looking at the Photographer.
The other three children are probably looking at a parent?
Why is the border wider, left and right, compared to top and bottom? It's based on customer request.
I added to the width of the border, so this odd sized print will fit a standard 5x7 frame.
The below enlargement shows the repair needed for this turn of the century photo.
It looks like the name "Josephine" was written on the photo with a ballpoint pen.
The second photo below shows the photo restored, and ready for the Lab to reprint.
