Blog - February 2009
Another update... this
beautiful graduating senior image is one of my favs from a shoot I did last June
with Herb Jones, a colleague and fellow member of
PPSNYS, Professional Photographers Society of NY State. Another
of my favorites of her is posted on the October 2008 link above.
In February last year I did a commercial shoot for Alvord Builders Inc., which
was formerly named Alvord Construction. The new name will help to
emphasize and include residential as well as commercial projects. The
photo below is one of my favorites. The new kitchen addition, located
at the rear of the property, also includes a balcony with spiral
staircase (which you can just see part of in the upper right of the
photo). They did a beautiful job... and congrats to the crew!

When I don't have a shooting session on my schedule, I strive to be a "Full Service Photography Studio"...
and so I was pleased to hear from Jan & Ted, friends/customers,
about their "prints in a tube", that needed framing! Below are
five prints in five unique sizes. Jan will be stopping by the studio
soon to make her mat color selection, and then it's time
for cutting windows in the mats, mounting the prints, cleaning
glass and framing. I appreciate the opportunity to do this type of
work...it's wonderful to see, closeup, the beauty of early 19th Century
artists! The two smaller prints in the foreground are contemporary.
A
Family Shoot in the studio...what a great family! Grandpa Roy is 93
years old and does he have some "Interesting Stories". Donna and Eli,
thanks for calling, and thanks for bringing everyone over. Son Drew,
came from Arizona, wonder how he liked the change in temperature?!!
Construction,
Repair & Remodeling of WNY, Inc. is a business based in Hamburg, NY, which is just
south of Buffalo. "Real" wood siding was the feature of this home
project, and I appreciate the tour that Ken gave me, before we started
shooting. Ken and his crew will be exhibitors at the upcoming Buffalo Home & Garden Show.
The large canvas backdrop that will hang in the back of Ken's
booth will include my photography. I also partnered with Carrie,
from Allstar Advertising,
on this project. Carrie is doing the creative work, in several ways,
for Ken's advertising. Also, I want to thank Carrie for telling me
about You Send It, a great service for safely sending large image files, and alot quicker than sending a disc.
